I taught myself to produce electronic music and eventually ended up running my own techno label becoming an active DJ in the underground techno and hard dance scenes. In order to focus on developing my own sound, I immersed myself into the world of live music. Through travelling and collaboration with other producers, I had opportunity to test material on various crowds. It also allowed me to discover new international ambient and triphop artists, and delve into post-rock, djent and underground metal. Inspiration also came from regularly frequenting vinyl only bars which spun fusion, funk and other soulful genres infused with electronica. In 2016 my first EP as Subliminal Message was released, a culmination of the dystopian sound I had been working on. Initially released only to followers on social media, after a review in Sound on Sound magazine, I made ‘Aware of Chains’ EP available for free download on my website. 2017 was spent developing my sound, testing the material live, building my home studio and preparing to launch a YouTube channel and podcast. The next release is due early 2018. You can follow my musical journey by signing up to the monthly newsletter @ https://goo.gl/FLSv1E or following on social media.
